I finally finished batch editing the photos I took when I was in New Jersey this summer. I thought I'd share some of my favorite shots with you here on my blog. The buildings were photos of the Princeton Campus. Gotta love the architectures! To bad I didn't have any models while I was there. Any of these building would make epic background.

This semester has been so crazy that summer seemed so long ago. Looking back, it was quite a wonderful experience. Can't wait for the next summer and I'm looking forward to more traveling (if I ever find time again). :(

My new doll has arrived yesterday! She's an Asleep Eidolon Peppermint. I ordered her from http://mintoncardinc.com/ for those who are curious. :p

I spent all day yesterday after my exam bringing her to "life." I made her a wig, a little dress, a hat, and I did her faceup. What a great day to spend my day!

Her faceup isn't perfect, but I'm still experimenting with different media and hopefully next time it will be better.
I hope you like her too. :)

I visited the "Phan house" today and took some photos of Promise and Christine. It's been a while since I had a model to do a serious photo shoot and I had so much fun hanging out with them. What a great day! Too bad we didn't have a lot of time to do something crazy/fun. We just stayed classy and simple. :) And Promise was the makeup artist & stylist of the day.

I like how the poses are similar in these two photos but the feel of the photos are completely different! They're both exotic beauties. <3

Both of these photos were taken with my Tamron 70-200mm F2.8L. I love that lens! But it's so heavy and bulky.. I'm considering getting the Canon 85mm F1.8, but it's so much $$.. T_T

I started drawing this picture last night and didn't finish it. I had her hand out but I wasn't sure what she should be catching so I put the sketchbook away and went to bed.

Today, while I was walking outside to get lunch, I looked up and saw a little feather falling from the sky. I reached out and caught it with my hands. It was a magical moment! After I got home, I had the urge to draw something so I opened the sketchbook and saw the picture I drew last night. It was another magical moment for me because I had forgotten about it. I finished it up with little feathers and here it is. :)

In a couple of days I will be flying back home to Florida. I'm looking forward to see my hubby and my family again, but I will really miss Princeton and my memories here in Princeton. It has been a wonderful summer, with lots of learning, lots of busy work, lots of goofy laughters, and lots of bike riding through the up and downs of Jefferson Rd. I will miss the pretty gardens that I passed by every morning and afternoon on my bike, all the restaurants and little shops on Nassau street, and all the awesome people that I had the honor of meeting and learning from during my brief stay. I don't know if I will ever be back to Princeton again or if I'll ever see these lovely people again. I pray for all of them, and I know they'll continue to be happy and fulfilled after my departure.

So I went to NY again this past weekend and hung out with my sister. We had dimsum one day for lunch. I hope you enjoy these pictures. I love coming to my blog and see a lot of yummy food. They'll be very fun to look at once I'm back in FL and can't have good asian food frequently.

And here is the kitchen in the house which I'm staying for the summer. I love the afternoon when the sun is setting. The gentle yet still vibrant sunrays pierce through the curtain and light up spots of gold on the wooden cabinets. So peaceful.

I watched a Japanese movie called Kimi Ni Todoke movie last night. It was a very sweet movie, even though it irritates me when characters talk really slowly..

I spent the July 4th weekend in NY with my sister. We visited central park, watched transformer in 3D, barbecued with her friends and karaoked for 6 hours straight. I had a lot of fun even though my plan to see the firework in NYC didn't quick work out.

To travel from where I am in NJ to NY, I take a train into NY Penn station then take a subway from there to where my sister lives. It takes me roughly 3 hours to travel from my place to her place, and I realized I enjoy the traveling alone. I enjoy sitting in a corner by myself, listening to some new music I just downloaded and just think. I love having quiet times like that where I could just ponder about life, and people watch. Oh yes, I love people-watching in NYC and on subways! People are so interesting looking and so different from one another, yet they co-exist in this vibrant place. I wish I know their story, where they're from and where they're going. I can't quite explain what it is, but NYC really inspires me. It inspires me to love and be passionate about life.

Sorry for lack of updates this weekend! I was visiting my sister in NY and didn't bring my laptop with me. (how unbelievable!) We went to the Metropolitan Museum and saw Alexander Mcqueen's exhibition Savage Beauty. It was literally one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!!!!! Too bad no photography was allowed. But I'm so glad I went because it was a totally amazing experience. After that, we went to time square, enjoyed some lights and watched a movie. A lot of traveling and walking in between and yummy food as always. :)

Hope everyone had a good weekend as well! What's the plan for the coming up long weekend? And does anyone know what should I do in NY for July 4th?

I hade a super fun day hanging out Melanie. She's also a photographer so we walked around Princeton and took some photos of each other. Oh, so also brought me some makeup and nail polishes. What a great day!! I miss having friends to hang out with haha.

For those who don't know, I'm spending the summer here in Princeton, NJ doing some research. It's weird not having any friends or family near, and it's hard not having a car here. My roommates are nice really nice and they would take me to get groceries if I ask, but I hate asking people favors. Good thing my sister is only an hour or two away. Can't wait to visit NYC again~

I arrived NY yesterday and my sister dropped me off at NJ today. The weather has been beautiful and I love all the fresh green and blooming flowers. Last night we had fun karaokeing at Flushing and played poker afterwards. Love, love karaokeing! The sound quality was so nice, song selection was awesome, and everyone took it pretty seriously so I didn't feel stupid singing my heart out haha.:p

My super short visit at NY was fun, and NJ is a completely different scene. It looks and feels a lot more like Florida, but slightly cooler of course. (not just temperature!) I will bring my camera out for a walk when I feel more comfortable in a few days.

Went to a wedding this morning. Did the bride's makeup and shoot the wedding. It was so much fun. I love weddings! I think weddings are the most beautiful events ever. Seeing people finding the love of their lives makes me happy~ I edited one photo very quickly, but since I have exam on Monday I'll post more after.
